Hexulo
The hex sibling of Quadulo. Slide lines of hexes in three directions until every color forms one piece. Free in the browser, on a phone too.
- Problem
- Quadulo slides rows and columns. On a hex grid a line slides in three directions, so the same rules make new puzzles.
- Approach
- Each cell is a hex of six triangles, and a line slides along one of three axes. Many boards are pictures, such as a fish, a cat or a ghost, with gaps for the eyes and the windows. Stario serves the page, a WebGL shader draws the board, and progress stays in the browser.
- Result
- Like Quadulo, it has a daily board that is the same for everyone, 30 steps that each add one idea, and an endless mode. It works with touch, mouse, and keys, and installs to a home screen.
